Test Web application Compatibility of IE 7 and IE 8 in one browser IE 8

There are always compatibility issues with different browsers, we the developers have to test our application in every browser whether it is IE 7 or IE 8 or Mozilla etc…

Microsoft has implemented one good feature in IE 8, introduced developer tools which allows us to test pages in both IE 7 and IE 8.

To access Developer Tools

Open Internet Explorer 8  à Tools à Developer Tools or just use the F12 key of keyboard.

In the developer tools you will see “Browse Mode” and list having IE 7, IE 8 and IE compatibility. You can select the appropriate option and page will load according to the option selected and will be displayed as it is displayed in IE 7 or IE 8.

Compatibility mode of IE8 loads your applications solving design problems like misaligned text, images, or text boxes.
